Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring with me?

You should bring your passport, a towel, sunscreen, and swimwear. It’s also a good idea to bring some cash in case you’d like to purchase merchandise or other items on board. Since all indoor areas are air-conditioned, consider packing a light outer layer as well.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable, informal clothing along with a swimsuit. It’s advisable to choose flat shoes to prevent slipping. If you’re joining us in the winter, remember to bring a warm top for after swimming or snorkeling. The indoor areas are air-conditioned, so you might want a light outer layer if you feel cold. We kindly ask that during dinner, you wear appropriate clothing instead of just swimwear.

Is this excursion suitable for young children?

Yes, this excursion is family-friendly. Children particularly enjoy the underwater viewing stations, where even young ones who are not yet old enough to snorkel can see the unique marine life of the Red Sea. Additionally, child-friendly food is available at the open buffet.

Can I try snorkeling if it is my first time and I can’t swim?

Yes, you can! Our team of PADI Certified Guides is qualified to teach you the basics of snorkeling, ensuring you feel comfortable in the water and with the equipment. If you can’t swim, there’s no need to worry—our guides will provide you with a life vest for your safety.

Should I bring my own snorkeling gear?

Snorkeling equipment is available on board. However, if you have your own gear, we recommend bringing it, as you may feel more comfortable using familiar equipment.

I have experienced seasickness in the past; what should I do?

If you suffer from severe seasickness, we recommend consulting a doctor. For those who have had mild symptoms before, you can take over-the-counter anti-seasickness tablets before boarding or wear ‘sea bands,’ which work on an acupressure basis. Additionally, the Nautilus Fleet provides stable platforms to help minimize discomfort.

Is there an area to sunbathe?

Yes, the upper deck offers ample space for sunbathing. Just remember to apply plenty of sunscreen and don’t forget to protect your feet and ears!
